Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and outgoing individuals to join our Summer/Fall 2023 AllStar StreetTeam. Based in Charleston, West Virginia, you will play a crucial role in promoting our ISP service to potential customers in the local communities. As a Street Team Representative, you will engage with the public, create brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition through various marketing activities. This position works closely with VP, Community Engagement, CEO, and his boots-on-ground West Virginia team.
Core Responsibilities
- Promote local2u: Act as a brand ambassador for our exciting ISP startup, educating the public about our internet services and highlighting the benefits and features we offer.
- Community Engagement: Engage residents, local businesses, and community organizations to establish relationships, identify potential customers, and generate new subscribers.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at local events such as festivals, BBQs, music events, sporting venues, and various community events to engage customers, sign up new subscribers, demonstrate service, answer questions, facilitate give-aways/swag and promotions, and spread joy.
- Door-to-Door Campaigns: Participate in door-to-door campaigns to introduce our services to residents, answer questions, and schedule appointments for further discussions.
- Street Marketing: Conduct street-level marketing activities, such as distributing flyers, brochures, and promotional items in strategic locations, to raise awareness.
- Social Media: Capture compelling content for social media.
- Share Insights: Collaborate with the team to gather customer feedback, address inquiries, and provide assistance during the marketing/sales process.
- Brand Representation: Maintain a professional and positive image of the company during interactions, adhering to brand values.
- Reporting: Provide reports on street team activities, including customer interactions, feedback, and relevant metrics.
- Learning: Gain knowledge of local2u internet services, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs.
Relevant Work Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, social impact or related roles is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
- Outgoing, confident, and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Flexible schedule with the availability to work evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with the local Charleston, West Virginia community is a plus
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
