Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Installer of Lighted Flag Pole to join our team. As an Installer, you will be responsible for installing lighted flag poles at rural US Post Offices across various locations. This role requires travel and the ability to facilitate electrical work, so a valid license for electrical work is essential. Core Responsibilities
- Travel to rural US Post Offices to install lighted flag poles according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure smooth installation processes.
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine the optimal location for flag pole installation, taking into consideration lighting and electrical requirements.
- Install and wire lighting systems on flag poles, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Safely and accurately install flag poles in the ground, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Collaborate with electrical contractors and inspectors to ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Test lighting systems to verify functionality and address any issues or malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of installation projects, including documenting any challenges encountered and solutions implemented.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members during installations as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to flag pole installations and electrical work.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or a related field.
- Previous experience with flag pole installations, including lighting systems, is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Valid license for electrical work is required.
- Ability to travel extensively and work in various locations.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
