Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Door-to-Door Sales Representative to join our team at the newest rural Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the country. As a Door-to-Door Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to acquire new subscribers for our internet services in the rural areas we serve. This role is based in Charleston, West Virginia, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $15 per hour.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door sales activities in rural areas, visiting potential customers to promote and sell our internet services.
  • Engage with homeowners and residents, delivering compelling sales pitches and providing information on the benefits and features of our internet services.
  • Build rapport with potential customers and address any questions or concerns they may have regarding our services.
  • Present and demonstrate our internet service offerings, highlighting the value they bring to rural communities.
  • Utilize persuasive sales techniques to overcome objections and close sales with potential customers.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach throughout the sales process, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Continuously prospect and generate leads by identifying new areas and potential customers to visit.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and share insights from field experiences.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and prospecting efforts using CRM software.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and other company events as required.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and new developments in internet services to effectively communicate our offerings.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or customer service roles, preferably with door-to-door sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close sales and overcome objections.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, demonstrating persistence and resilience in pursuing sales targets.
  • Knowledge of rural communities and an understanding of their unique challenges and needs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and generate reports.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration and cooperation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing sales strategies and market dynamics.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for door-to-door sales visits within the assigned sales territory.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college coursework or a degree in business or a related field is preferred.
